The unseeing eye

A horror game where you play as a blind girl who uses her senses to escape her kidnapper.

This game was made during the 2022 GlobalGamejam with the theme Duality. My job was game design and programming. I worked with 3 artists, 2 programmers and 1 sound engineer (names are on the itch.io page). To come up with creative ideas, I recommended and lead a brainwriting session and made sure everyone got a say into each idea.

Gameplay

I created the level design, the flow of the game and I also created the game design document. As for programming I created a basic interaction system, a physics based door and a gate with lock and key. I also worked with one of the programmers to create and perfect the "Sonar" shader, which was a vital element to the core gameplay.

Game design

With the level design I had to work together with the artists to make sure everything designed could be created by the artists within the limited time. During the design I also had to communicate about the kind of rooms that had to be created, so they could start modelling as quickly as possible.
